2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS

I am not a gun lobbyist.  I am just another grassroots, staunch believer in our constitutional Right to Bear Arms.   There are thousands of everyday law-abiding  folks who seek  intelligent and responsible helpful tips, info  or services. This post is not  to be politically correct, having nothing to gain except sharing stuff-to-know.  This is my own perspective about self defense, women's guns and our choices. I do not claim expertise about weapons, ballistics, and shooting methods except for my own hunting and personal recreation. The first tragedy that occurred inspiring  this  post was the devastating massacre at Sandy Hook... Many tragic events have taken place since, and worldwide anyone who pays attention to news is aware of and most surely has an opinion. I truly respect all opinions. This is mine.  HANDGUN CHOICES Years ago, my husband and I were shopping at BassPro sporting goods store.  He was making a batch of homemade sausage, in need of links casin

Forget your cancer - have some fun today July 4th, 2014: Between surgeries... being outdoors was the best therapy after breast cancer. As a get away a week before my 'implants' surgery, we canoed  Big Tebo Creek and shot pistols at Clinton's outdoor firing range. My sly husband switched out my .38 bullets with 357 rounds - see the fire! We had a blast hahaha!! My SINCERE THANKS to all of my friends and likes in Googlesland ! Have fun and be safe today - enjoy your families and friends and your FREEDOM!!

A handgun should fit like a glove      A record number of background checks in the U.S. for guns last week...      Alright, everyone has very strong opinions about handguns, especially for self-defense.  I could rant about being a staunch patriot for our Right to Bear Arms and the politics of women being justified to carry just as men rant in favor of the big guns -- I'd just bore y'all.  There's a lot of folks interested to look, buy, if not to carry, at least to own a good handgun for home defense -- for 'just in case'.  THIS post is info I found for inexperienced buyers mostly for potential conceal carry, and getting accustomed to a handgun.      I am a beginner with handguns, by no means expert so please do not misconstrue this information as a professional opinion.     You gun newbies, make no mistake -- yes, a handgun  is  a weapon.  Don't be intimidated but be safe.   Learn the gun before you carry.  Seems like I'm stating the obvious but when y

A handgun should fit like a glove Alright, especially the guys have very strong opinions about self-defense handguns.  I could rant about bein’a staunch patriot for our Right to Bear Arms and the politics of women being justified to carry just as men rant in favor of the big guns — I’d just bore y’all.  There’s a lot of folks interested to look, buy, if not to carry, at least to own a good handgun for home defense — for ‘just in case’. Being a repost of the article written by Richard Nance | July 16th, 2014. This post is merely some useful info I found for inexperienced buyers mostly for potential conceal carry, and getting accustomed to a handgun.  I am a beginner with handguns, by no means expert so please do not misconstrue this information as a professional opinion.   And make no mistake — yes, a handgun  is  a weapon. I have open-carried a revolver on occasion, primarily going fishing in remote spots, legal in Missouri.  I learned how Missouri laws apply for co

THREE .380  TEST FIRES AND .357  PRACTICE target 1 target 2 - RugerLCP, Glock42 Showme Shooters Indoor  range  in Claycomo (Kansas City, Mo). Test fired three semi-auto .380's Practiced shooting the Ruger SP101 .357 revolver for my body stance and accuracy, double and single action. Target 1: Glock  G42 Target 2, Ruger LCP 380  on the body.  Glock G42 head & neck shot. Target 3, SmithandWesson Bodyguard  all outside #8 line.   Ruger SP101 .357  revolver inside #8 and the center.     Of the 380's, my husband prefered the Ruger LCP, his target not shown.  These were all my shots with my least favorite, the Ruger LCP.  It's super lightweight with narrow grip had too much recoil, over my head and made my hand sore.  I could barely get my fingers to yank open the slide of that narrow LCP.     The Smith and Wesson  trigger  was too long (didn't go bang till it was fully depressed).  Meant as a  safety feature but I know where my finger is, whe
